AVID 9: Building the Foundation

What to Expect:

Ninth grade AVID students begin their journey by building a strong academic foundation and developing habits that lead to long-term success. Students learn essential organization strategies, note-taking techniques, and time management skills. There is a strong focus on building a positive classroom community and developing student confidence.

  • Introduction to focused note-taking and organizational systems
  • Goal-setting and academic self-monitoring
  • Collaborative study and inquiry through AVID tutorials

  • Exposure to high school expectations and college pathways

By the End of 9th Grade, Students Will:
